Mixed Mani Monday: Embracing Creative Nail Art with Leftover Wraps

Welcome back to our favourite day of the week - Mixed Mani Monday! Today, I'm particularly excited to share a unique blend of nail wraps that I pieced together. It's all about diving into our leftover stash and creating something unexpected yet fabulous. So, let's jump right in!

The Unlikely Match

As I rummaged through my nail wrap collection, three specific designs caught my eye. The connecting thread? A striking shade of blue that seemed to harmonize them all. Despite their differences, I was determined to make this mix work. Among them, 'Summer in Panama' stood out – a favorite of mine, often overlooked for its unique charm.

Then, as if nature was setting the scene, we had a surprising snow dump last night. It felt like a sign – this was the day to bring these wraps out of obscurity and onto my nails!

The Process

I started with my trusty OPI Nail Envy as a strengthening base coat. To ease the application, I warmed the wraps on my heating pad – a nifty trick for cold days (and for those of us who prefer a lower heating bill!). After the base coat dried, I prepped my nails by washing off any residual oil with Dawn dish soap.

The first wrap to go on was 'Snow Baby' – a light blue wrap adorned with metallic silver snowflakes, perfect for my thumb and pinky.

Next came 'Ice Baby,' a stunning light blue glitter wrap. I chose it for my ring finger, which has noticeable ridges. The glitter does a great job at camouflaging them!

Finally, 'Summer in Panama' found its place on my middle and index fingers. Its floral, almost birthday-party-like vibe provided a striking contrast to the winter-themed wraps.

With the wraps applied, filed, and topped off with Essie Gel Couture top coat, my manicure was complete.

The Revelation

At first glance, the mix felt odd – combining a summer-themed wrap with winter designs didn't seem quite right. But then, the magic happened. I noticed tiny, snow-like dots on the 'Summer in Panama' wrap, bridging the seasonal gap in a playful manner. It struck me: there are no rules in nail art. Why not embrace this fun, creative clash?

The more I admired my nails, the more I fell in love with the combination. It's a testament to embracing creativity and breaking free from conventional seasonal boundaries.
