Mixed Mani Monday: Halloween Edition
Hello, Nail Wrap Enthusiasts!
It's that time of the week again—Mixed Mani Monday! Today, we're going to walk you through an exciting Halloween edition where we dive deep into our nail wrap stash and creatively use up those leftover scraps. The result? A unique, inspiring, and hauntingly beautiful manicure that will have everyone asking, "How did you do that?"
For this Halloween, I wanted my nails to emanate a witchy aura, capturing the mystical and enchanting vibe of the season. Spider webs and crisscross designs are quintessential elements representing the tangled and intricate web of witchcraft, weaving in perfectly with the mystique of the holiday. Coupled with the swampy green nail wrap, the overall mixed manicure drew inspiration from the eerie marshlands often associated with witchy tales, conjuring a look that's both hauntingly beautiful and deeply evocative of Halloween's spine-tingling charm.
Mani Ingredients:
Leftover nail wraps from Swamp Princess
Remnants from Fright & Flight
Last bits of Crossed Signals
Here's how we did it:
Prep Your Nails: As always, begin by prepping your nails. Push back your cuticles, give them a gentle file, and apply a clear base coat - we used Nail-Aid Keratin 3 Day Growth.
Lay the Base with Swamp Princess: Start by applying the iridescent subtle green hues of Swamp Princess as the base for a majority of your nails. This moody shade serves as the ideal backdrop for our mixed mani.
Add Pops of Fright & Flight: On the remaining nails, apply scraps from Fright & Flight. These patterns add the eeriness of Halloween with spider webs, infusing a touch of gothic elegance.
Incorporate Crossed Signals: Placed randomly over Swamp Princes to introduce an unexpected twist. Its abstract patterns contrast with the dark theme, adding an element of surprise and flair.
Top it off: Once you're satisfied with your nail collage, apply a top coat to seal in your design. We used OPI Matte Top Coat to get a soft and smooth finish that we believe adds to the eerie look. This step ensures longevity and adds a desirable finish.
Voila! A gorgeous yet ominous look that's perfectly in tune with the Halloween spirit. The blend of swampy greens and spooky patterns provides a manicure that's as unique as it is mesmerizing.
The best part about Mixed Mani Mondays is that there are no strict rules—only endless possibilities! It's all about letting your creativity run wild and seeing where those leftover wrap bits can take you.
